Mammoth fans have unfortunately seen this before. It appears that defenseman Sean Durzi may have suffered a injury early in the season. While there hasn’t been an update from the team yet, SLC Puck host Austin Facer fears it could result in Durzi missing significant time for the second consecutive season. Facer predicts, like last year, Utah management may have to quickly plug the gap with either an acquisition or an increased role for one of the squad’s younger blueliners.
Facer also looks forward to Utah’s home opener on Wednesday against the Calgary Flames and speculates on what the team teased as a “special surprise” in the pregame festivities.
