A rumor out of Toronto suggests the Maple Leafs have asked about trading for Utah Mammoth defenseman Mikhail Sergachev. Sergachev, who was acquired before last season, delivered a standout year in Utah, making SLC Puck host Austin Facer highly skeptical of the report.
Meanwhile, the Mammoth are just a week away from their first skate at their new practice facility in Sandy as Rookie Camp gets underway. Facer believes team brass will be watching a handful of prospects closely, with at least one opening night roster spot potentially up for grabs.
