Canadiens Player Hit by Car in SLC?!? | SLC Puck! Ep. 74

The Utah Hockey Club dropped a 5-3 decision to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night, but the story before the game was the bizarre injury suffered by Montreal forward Emil Heineman. Walking around in the area by the Salt Lake County Building on 500 South and 200 East, Heineman was reportedly struck by a city employee who didn’t see him in the crosswalk. Heineman was left injured and will be out 3-4 weeks.

Despite the setback, Montreal rolled over a slumping Utah team, which may be forced to make some tough decisions soon. Should the team continue to find itself further and further out of the playoff race, general manager Bill Armstrong may be tempted to pull trigger by trading away some players for future assets. One player in particular, who has become a fan favorite, could be the team’s most valuable trade piece, SLC Puck’s Austin Facer suggests. Time will tell what happens next.
