Here are my picks for tonight’s matchup between the Utah Mammoth and the New York Islanders.
Why these picks? It’s simple really.
Over his last five games, Dylan Guenther has been averaging 3.4 shots on goal. He also hasn’t found the back of the net since Nov. 5 when he scored in Utah’s loss to Toronto. He’ll be gunning to get back on the scoresheet. Knowing him, he’ll probably get the game winner, in dramatic fashion. Getting at least one shot per period? Easy green, in my opinion.
Sergy is also on the sheet, even though he has the longest odds of hitting. I just have a feeling he’ll be responsible for an apple tonight. He’s done so in three of the last five. Daily Faceoff’s fantasy tools project him to have 0.6 assists tonight, which to me, says he has a 60% chance of scoring a helper in tonight’s game. We’re going for it.
And lastly, I’ve added a pick from the opposing lineup to even it out. Schaefer, an 18-year-old rookie is a star already. A TOI total of 22:30 is right at his season average. He’s gone over the line in 11 of his 17 games in the National, including all but one of the last five. That’s a green to me.
Take to the bank. We’ll see how it goes.
